Trivia

Before the group became The Silhouettes they were known as The Gospel Tornadoes when they sang in churches on Sundays. When they sang in nightclubs during the rest of the week they were known as The Thunderbirds.
Kae Williams a local disc jockey (WDAS) and the owner of JUNIOR records named the group after The Rays 1957 hit single on CAMEO 117 "Silhouettes".
Kae Williams refused to release The Silhouettes version of "For Your Precious Love" which they cut while on the road after hearing Jerry Butler & The Impressions version, due to his friendship with ABNER records executive Ewart Abner.
Richard Lewis was a former roadie with The Turbans.
